Ahh, I aint no doctor, but that don't sound right. Quick trip to the doctors might be worthwhile... especially if you don't know the species of whatever it was that bit you.
I hope you at least washed it! Did you get a mid flight/bite macro ?
tim.. that's really odd for a jumping spider to bite! did you catch/keep the little bugger just incase it's a wolf spider or something else?
i'd suggest a nice glass of scotch.. always makes the pain go away cheers http://www.markcrossphotography.com - A camera, glass, and some light.
As i probably crushed it.. it had a reason to bite.......
Im still alive.. so that must be good.. (sorry guys ) and No.. i didnt get bite shots... but damnit.. i wish i did... wouldnt that be an awesome shot.. a pic of a spider with fangs in... i tell ya.. those jumping spiders have fair sized fangs... Tim - get to a doctor quicksmart - Simon had the same thing happen, and they told him that if he hadn't gotten medical attention as soon as he did, his genitals would have fallen off !!!!!

I assume Tim crushed it to a million pieces and flushed it down the toilet? anyways, get a quick recovery from the 2 little puncture marks Tim
Damn Zeeke, if only you'd had the D200 and macro lens ready. Don't know who's face would have looked more surprised... yours or the spiders. That surely would have made POTW!
Rest in peace little spidy .
No wonder my wife makes me take out the rubbish!
I'm going to tell her what our resident entymologist said would happen if I were bitten by one of those little jumpers. Then again, maybe not - our rubbish quota might mysteriously increase. TFF (Trevor)

For those who were worried.... Spidey isnt dead... he scurried off after i pulled him off.. just because it bit me.. doesnt mean it had to die.. i accidently squashed it...but not enough to kill it or hurt it
Well, D200 isnt here yet, but i did have my d70 with macro lens and sb800 rigged up.. i just didnt have it hanging around my neck at the time oh well Tim D70 - D200/MBD200 Coming soon - Too Much Gear, Not Enough Talent

So Tim if you die in some horrible and totally unexpected way I get the D200 MMMM now let me think............ Way to much photography gear is never enough!
Seriously would I sacrifice the life or a good, true and trusted friend for a new piece of photographic equipment that will be obsolete in a shot time?
Let me think, I get the answer to you later Way to much photography gear is never enough!
Seriously, If you can hunt up a picture of the White Tail/ed spider on the internet or bug book and that is the one that bit you, go to a doctor as the skin will not heal and will degenerate in an ever widening circle.

White tails have had very bad press, it is now believed it narcrosis of the skin is caused by a golden staph infection rather than a spider bite but keep an eye on it anyway.
