If this turns into a PC vs. Mac thread / debate / fanboy junk argument, I'll gladly lock it. 8)

I use a PC at home, but only because my Mac is an older iBook. Next major upgrade will almost certainly be a Mac system at home of some sort.

At work I use my iBook.

I regret not geting Macs earlier, OSX is (in my view) a far superior operating system to work with.

interesting as I have jsut bought my first dslr (waiting for it to arrive) :D :D :D and am about to make the choice myself.
I have a 3 year old iMac, and a 3 year old PC. (I have never turned the Mac on  )

Not sure which is best. Will be doing more reading.
Either way will be using CS2.

But dont want to let this thread generate into an us vs them debate.

This is perhaps the most comprehensive comparison on the web.

I heard on the news this morning that Windows Vista has been delayed again.

I currently use a pretty slick PC which is well appointed, but I am seriously considering getting into a serious mega mac for the photoshop use exclusively and use the PC for everything else. I really have to seperate the applications.

I purchased a Teddy Bear this morning for the sum of $10. I named him Mohammed. This afternoon I sold him on E-Bay for $30. My question is, "Have I made a prophet?"

Not sure I get why you would do that? Photoshop is on PC, so just use the PC and max it out. I'd only do something like this for an app that is only available on one platform.

the poll is interesting I would have thought about 10% mac but the figures are much higher than that! 25% mac, 50% PC, 25% divided, Maybe mac is becoming more mainstream than I had thought!!!

Don't look at me  I've ticked "Both"...

- a dual Xeon 2.4GHz 1RU server running Fedora Core 4
- an Intel M740 laptop running Fedora Core 5
- an Intel PII 350MHz desktop running OpenBSD 3.7
- an NSC Geode 266MHz Wrap-2 running OpenBSD 3.8
- a Mac mini G4 1.5GHz running OS X 1.4.7

Other family members:
- an iMac FP 17" 1.43GHz running OS X 1.4.7
- an AMD 2600+ desktop running Fedora Core 5
- an AMD 3100+ desktop running Win XP pro

(got rid of the SPARCstation II, and replaced it with the Wrap)

Cheers
Steffen.
