Do you remember?

Postby Mal on Mon Jul 24, 2006 1:42 pm

Last week whilst filming at the ABC, I went into the archives room, and found the following character.

Image

He is the original one, still in perfect working order. Hand made from wood and wool!
So who is he?
And how old do you think he is?
And are you old enough to remember watching him?

Just imagine if we elected Mal to government. We'd definitely have a puppet government. :)

Like most jobs it has good points and bad.
The bad last week was filming outside on Thursday and Friday on a windswept hill side lying in mud with the occasional torrential rain downpour for 10 hrs! The upside, I got paid to do it :)

I've got a similar situation, Mal.

This Saturday I had to work... that was the bad

That I was working with a quad g5 as an operator on a photoshoot, topless models, and a Hasselblad with Phase One digi back was good, as well as possibly getting paid for it.

The bad is that it goes on for 7 more weeks, it looks like. The upside (downside?) is that I'm probably going to get out of it for the AW.

The people onset (photographer, assistant, hair, makeup, etc) are nice too.

:) :)

I think we could turn this thread into the upside / downside of our jobs.

Next month I get to go to India for 21 days.
The upside:
I get to go to India
I get to work in Bollywood
The downside
I miss all the AW events
I will be away for my sons birthday
I will be working for 21 days straight!
I don't like Indian food BTW no one has posted how old they think Blinky Bill is. Any guesses?

As a character he's older than me because Dorothy Wall died in the early 40's. I believe she wrote most of the BB stories from 39-42. As for when Auntie had him on the box, I can't remember but I sure do remember watching.
