Hello (from cold Calgary, Canada), I just joined up. I found this forum yesterday. Good to see other D70 lovers. I have had my D70 for 4 months and love it so much. I am going to school part time for photography to hone my amateur skills, to become a pro one day. I just wanted to say hi to everyone. I am sure I will learn lots from you guys, and hopefully I can give some input as well.

Hello and welcome Neeper. We have a fellow Canadian who's also a regular on here, Dooda. Perhaps you guys can organise a D70users forum meet for the Canada chapter.

I noticed most of you guys are from Australia. Beautiful country. I would love to visit there again one day. I only went to Sydney and Brisbane. Must be so nice and warm there right now. Tomorrow for us it will feel like -45 celcius thanks to the -27 temp with 60km winds.

It must be 40 degrees celcius where I am right now. I dare not venture outside of my air conditioned room for fear of heatstroke.

I would trade places with you anyday. If I went outside I would get frostbite within 2 mins. After 5 mins, I would be frozen solid. Hope my car starts tomorrow for work.

I do not know how it holds up!! It's too cold outside to take shots. I'd rather be inside. When it gets warmer, like -20

, I'll get out there and take some shots. I missed an amazing photo op on my way to work a few days ago. I didn't have my d70 with me. The steam from the bulding downtown was building up right above downtown. It was a clear day, sunny, no wind at all. And there was this huge cloud that formed from the buildings right above downtown andjust lingered there. Wish I had my camera.
