Anyone use the SpeckGRABBER?????????????

Postby Photodude on Wed Jan 12, 2005 9:28 pm

Hi All,

whilst in my local shopping centre today - I came across the SpeckGRABBER - http://www.kinetronics.com - $7 - says on the packaging that it cleans CCDs

has anyone had any experience with this product?
does it work?
is it a feasible method for CCD cleaning? :?
or would I be kissing my camera goodbye??

thanks :)

Have read a couple of reviews on this gadget. It works fine on loose dust....(but so does a blower brush) and fails on the stuck spots. need the Eclipde and pec-pads for those.

Mtt.K
You're correctly and it'll scratch your CCD if you try to push it hard cos it's not wet.
Go to Pec*Pad and Eclipse Fluid, ancient stuff but more peace in mind
