First event of the AA

Well the first event of the AA went well, in a nice restuarant in Campsie. Whilst much the smaller of the dinners, it was well attended and even had the mysterious Birddog there. There was even an impromptu photo session at the end with Alpha 7 modelling. I have no photos to post but am sure others do.

Now onto the daytime events which could be a little more challenging due to the rain.

Ahh...
Good to hear it went well...

I have in my hot little hands a print out of the winners (and all entries) of Challenge 10 for some added excitement tonight!

Hope you all have a ball! Would have been nice to be there for something. Oh well, can't live in the country and have everything....

So far I am very satisfied with the two events that I've thus far been involved in.

As Glen noted, the dinner last noght was excellent, and the food, and especilally the companionship, was beyond reproach.

This morning we had a good group of people at The Haven Amphitheatre in Castlecrag. Lindy brough along a few books and pamphlets about the area - how many suburbs of Sydney boast their very own tourist pamphlets? - and she led a group of people on a short bushwalk from the theatre down to the waterfront on the harbour.

The weather was cool but pleasant, and the liitle spots of rain we had did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm of those present.

Thank you LIndy for helping to make the venue available to us, and for your time and effort this morning in helping to make the day a success.

Glad to hear this AW weekend has been off to a great start. No doubt, with due credit to the organisers for making everything run smoothly for all.

I'll be seeing of y'all at the dinner in a few hours time (as of this post)!

Yep - the Ferry Hop meet was a roaring success. A total of 11 atendees and it was brilliantly organised by Stubbsy. Many images to follow i'm sure. It rained on and off but fortunately we were under cover for the VERY heavy rainfall. The combination of cloud and sunlight made for some excellent lighting for the troops. I look forward to both posting and viewing some of the images from today's 'hop'. :)

Photoshop Tut and Printing workshop went extremely well, and were well enjoyed by all those attending.

Special thanks to MattK for the photoshop work, and especially to Smac for the use of the offices (and printers!!). Many of us walked away with our masterpieces printed nice and BIG!

Now - to work out where to put my 2m wide pano ;)

A great morning at the Haven, as noted above. Thanks Lindy for the personal insights into WBG (including living in one of his houses) and showing everyone the waterfront track after I had gone cross country

A couple of quick location shots from the Haven:

As everyone in Sydney real estate knows, you can't beat waterfront. These were taken about 40 metres from the meet:
