Well i still cant get my damn Borders to print out properly, i like a lot of my pics and the borders seem to set them off nicely. I have tired to print the bloody thing things and i always get the ends cut of and sometimes the to and bottom of the border dont fit on the print that i want no mater what size i try and print at.
I have tried resizing the image, still no fix and resized to paper size and still no go i know there is something i am doing wrong and well has got me beet. was told that you can make up a border then drag the pic into it, but that is here say. If this was available coo would be great and i guess some young whipper snapper from high school could fix in know time but it has got this big dummy Beet.
All i want to do is print the bloody picture with the border on it.LOl
is this so hard to do??? Photoshop ARGHhhhhhh

John, take a deep breath fella, we can get you through this.....
Are you trying to use decorative borders, or a white border around the edge like we used to get on prints?

OK John I see.
The dimensions of your paper will probably be different to your picture (including the frame) - that is to say that if the picture fits on the paper perfectly on the short side, the long side of the picture may be shorter than the long side of the paper. So you will need to trim the print after printing.
Do you have a trimmer?
You will probably never get a print that fits perfectly on an A4 paper, some trimming is nearly always required.
Have you also tried using printing software, such as that which comes with Canon printers? It really helps. What sort of printer do you have?

Hi Greg no i dont have a trimmer but can do with sissors and friend has a guillitine thingy, but i dont mind having to trim as long as i could get the whole picture with the borders printen on the paper only way i can do that is to print with a border, which is ok on the canon. I have been having a prob with it lately prints 1/2 a pic spits it out starts to print on next sheet and spits it out, have to uninstall and reinstall drivers.
But anyhow if i take these pics to the shop to get printen like using the machine at K-mart or Hardley Normal it cuts some of my borders off.

John, The problem with getting prints done at the shop is that they would have their machine set up to get as much image on the paper as possible, with no bits to be trimmed off. I don't think there is much you can do, except have you finished item in exactly the same proportions as the paper they will print to.
Not sure what might be wrong with your printer. Do you have the latest drivers etc? Are all settings right?
