At 7.12 am the Australian Airlines man arrived with my 8GB card from Thanh. slipped it in and in my pissy D70 it delivers 1424 RAW images! To save you working it out that is 7.91 minutes of continuos shooting or if you are used to working in rolls, 59 rolls of 24 film.

Only disadvantage I have found is JordanP told me the 8GB cards weigh more than the 2GB cards

Thanks Thanh

You'll just have to work out harder now.

Congrats Glen!

Didn'y Australian Airlines go the way of the dinosaur. Me thinks it was AAE (aka Australian Air Express) another (partial) tenticle of the Aussie Post empire (good job they are a publicly owned monopoly and we get the profits).

Glen - I get nowehere near that many pics from a 8Gb card on my D2X - maybe you got the high density version. :D

Stand corrected, it was Australian Air Express, the Aussie Post/Qantas partnership. Geez it was 7.12 (the guy told me so). Funny there is a pic of a plane on the bag, one on the guys shirt, but like Gary I doubt they used a plane to get here.

Yeah, I find it quite amusing seeing all the Australian AIR express vans driving around the place :)

Geez, Steffen I wish you hadn't told me that I will be scared to really use it. Have just finished reading the 6 pamphlets which came with it, including the 24 page 'quick installation guide'. Glad I didn't get the long one

 Maybe Justin. I actually haven't taken enough to count down, it reads 1.4K so I just extrapolated from my 2gb card. When I put it on to fine large jpg I get 9K and 30K on lowest quality.

That sounds a way to do it Justin, I thought you shot down to it. I never use PTP so would never pick that up. If I shot best jpg, I think I could go away for a year with 9,000 shots
