What age to start photography?I don't know why I didn't think of this before. Handed our old Canon A80 over to our four-year-old and let her loose. Interesting results. I'd never have thought of taking a photo using the letterbox as a frame.
Anyone else tried letting their young kids have a crack at photography? http://www.gpsvehiclenavigation.com/Bronwyn/IMG_3113.JPG http://www.gpsvehiclenavigation.com/Bronwyn/IMG_3116.JPG http://www.gpsvehiclenavigation.com/Bronwyn/IMG_3133.JPG Only one problem and that is she's not really learned discretion Edit (Stubbsy): Max # images per post is 4 refer FAQ
Great concept. This shows what a wonderfully different perspective children have on the world. The letterbox shot is great.

I think it's great to give kids a camera! We let our then 3 year old use our very first digital in 2000 and she has been using them ever since. Both of our kids love to take pictures and I can really see the progression over the last few years. They had their own cameras when we went to Europe a couple of years ago and so have their own record of what they think was important, which I love to look at still (they were aged 7 and 4 at the time).
I love the letterbox photo - very cute! Nikon D7000
My two boys are 7 & 4 and I have let both of them loose with my D50.
They each have their own p&s cameras and constantly produce great photos. I have learnt a few composition trick from their pics. Like your daughter they have yet to learn the art of discretion. Mark
