iView Media Pro

Now that I've had a DSLR for almost a year, my image library has grown to the point where I'm seriously looking at the various cataloguing software packages available. I know that Peter Krogh (author of The DAM Book) recommends iView.
Has anyone here used it for a while? If so, would you please share your thoughts and experiences?

Disk Tracker is the program you will appreciate look it up

I use iView and love it.
Very flexible in that it can output all sorts of data that can be useful for Stock Library submissions.
Getting your head around it is another issue!

Thanks for the replies Vince and Liam. I've downloaded the trial version and have 21 days to evaluate it. Hopefully I'll get a bit of spare time to have a close look at it.
Jethro, thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately Disk Tracker is only available for Macs, so is of no use to me.

I'd also suggest you have a look at
iMatch. I spent quite some time evalutaing a number of packages (iView, Portfolio, Cumulus, iMatch and a few others) and settled on iMatch for flexibility and price.

I know Peter is pretty wrapped in his little piccy database but after giving it a try also try mediadex...formerly Canto Cumulus. It's also highly thought of and not too dificult to come to terms with.

I'm currently trying out iView to see if it's what I want. I've heard good things about iMatch too, so might look into that too.
