Picasa gone poo!

Postby edneeves on Tue Oct 03, 2006 10:06 pm

I have just got a new Laptop and work didn't copy over Picasa. So I went to the Google site and was delighted to see a new and improved version. However the enjoyment was short lived for 2 reasons:

1. The quality of showing my NEF's has dropped condsiderably. All my shots are a rather digusting hazy interpretation of there former selves.

2. My EXIF data is no longer imported with my pictures.

Is this me being an idiot or did a brilliant photo organising tool just become very crap!

Cheers in advance.

I use picasa2 (the beta version with web albums) all the time and think it's great - in fact I am getting in a bad habit of whipping my shots out through picasa and not doing them justice with proper PP

hmm short answer no problem here with Picasa Version 2.5.0 build 32.94,0 on windoze

another thought - did you have capture or adobe photoshop installed on your old machine? I think Picasa uses the raw converter on your pc...
