New Products from Hongkong Jenis

Postby birddog114 on Fri Jan 21, 2005 7:15 am

I'm going to bring few products into Australia from Hongkong Jenis Pho-Facility Co as the LCD hood and other photographics equipments & accessories:

And they're the one who manufactures the battery grip (Harbortronics) on the other thread.

Birddog,

With products coming in from Poon, Maxwell, RRS, and now Jenis Pho-Facility Co you will need to build on another room. It must be the best stocked Camera Shop in the metropolitan area or may be Sydney. Certainly have the best prices   .

I know that I am one :D shopper.

Cheerio,

Then those providers will contribute to the "director bonusses" at the end.

**Dumb question alert**

Guys, whats the benefit of the battery grip?

If its for extended battery life, I haven't heard of many people (actually, I haven't heard of any) that have run out of battery in a single day's shoot. As such, doesn't it just add weight to your camera?

Also, can you then mount the camera onto a tripod (if you have the battery grip attached)?

Birdy,

How do the LCD covers that are displayed at that link work?

Do they close at all?

If not how do you take a photo wth them on as wouldn't they stop you looking through the viewfinder?

Have i missed somehting?

Woody

They do close - which brings up the question as to whether they are worthwhile if shooting sports etc. Close it to take the pic and then open to see the histogram etc - not an advantage in my book

I just had a look through all of these products and love this AA battery pack idea.
http://www.hkjenis.com/company/dch/d0.htm AA batteries are so easy to come by and cheap that it would be worth the peace of mind.
