Nikon 70-200VR is dried out in the market

Postby birddog114 on Thu Jan 20, 2005 10:02 pm

Hey Guy!!!!
Tried to order 6 x Nikon 70-200VR from Poon last week, he only able shipped me two, gone straight away less than 24 Hrs after FedEx truck delivered at AU$2500.00
Send him an order today for 10 of them and got him over the phone.
No stock of them in HKG or Japan.
What's up?
Promised customers next week, will see what's gonna happened?

I know that this is a very selfish comment, but I'm glad I have got mine towards the end of last year, and :D :D :D .

Cheerio,

I'm not surprised, its a great lens. Was initailly considerin gthe 80-400 but after speaking to Birddog about the focus hunting in low light, decided to go with the 2.8 and haven't looked back since the VR is awesome esp with tractkng fast targets.

Thanks Birddog for the headups and timing of my purchase

Oh well... looking more and more unlikely to be upgrading my kit anytime soon... will just have to be content with the consumer grade stuff I have and try to get the best from it...

I reckon that is good news. Firstly, I can’t afford it yet (selfish reason) and secondly, Nikon will probably go into overdrive to make them so by the time I am ready there will be a glut
