Hi Guys
I cant decide on a used CRT or new LCD - I dont want to spend mega bucks and I had originally settled on the Samsung 215TW LCD but my girlfriend has said we don't need it and the crap LG LCD we have is fine for her..

So I need something cheaper, with DVI to edit my photos with

Any ideas? DVI is handy but I do have some dvi adapters to convert to analogue

maybe 2 x 17" WS LCD's? I have a dual dvi video card

thanks
kris

I picked up a used Samsung 21 inch CRT monitor on Ebay for $125 delivered. Two of them would look good!

I'm a widescreen advocate, ever since I bought one. Conventional just looks too square and squished. widescreen = more space for tools palettes, better aspect ratio for watching movies too; and games play better in widescreen™. ;)

No, they dont stretch out as long as you keep your resolution to that aspect ratio (say 1440 x 900px).

You will just have plenty more space to work with and place your toolbar/palettes while working on the photo.

If you work mostly on portrait oriented photos, its height in 800-900 px can be a bit constrain. Landscape and document work is just wonderful with a widescreen.
