so, .... I'm in the process of doing my Aussie Superbikes Media Accred form....

Previously, the PR company that assisted in promoting the event handled these enquiries and, as part of the deal, stated that media access was granted on the condition that you gave Fluid PR 3 images from the weekend to use. Without payment, but with copyright and credit rights remaining with the photog.

Not to bad a deal I suppose.

Aus Superbikes have taken on their own organising now, and as part of the deal want...

....10 high res images of the weekend, and passowrds to your website (if required) to view and download stated images.

10 images. If I was dealing with my usual client, this would be up to $1500 worth.

Any one care to comment?

I guess if those are the terms that they specified it's either let them have it or go without your accreditation. It seems that they're being quite greedy though.

Raskill, send them 5 images from the racing and 5 nice details shots of thing like carbon fibre guards etc  The sort of images you see in any Ducati brochure. They clearly just picked ten thinking nine will be junk, prove them right!

Of course....they are only going to see the images you want them to see. That leaves you in control. They haven't stated they must be your best images.....go for it.

How long is the accreditation valid? Because, as Glen and Matt.K wrote, there seems to be nothing from stopping you taking photos of clouds and trees, and giving them free HI-RES photos of them. But can (or would) they withdraw your accreditation as a result?

I reckon provide only second-tier images, or if they're all good then deliberately PP them INTO second-tier images.
