I happened upon an interesting site a couple of weeks ago, which allows you sell prints of your photos, drawings etc.
http://www.redbubble.com.au/
The site hasn't been around long but so far it has an active creative community.
And the best part is that they do all of the printing posting work for you and let you set your own prices (above the standard base price).
My profile for those of you who might be interested ...

Very nice and clean site, just signed up.
EDIT: Just noticed in the profile section where you enter bank details and personal information isnt secure.
Shouldnt be an issue as you are not dealing with credit card details, but just be aware
EDIT 2: Just went to "buy" something to see if thats secure... its OK, it redirects to Paypal.

That does look cool, and their agency agreement etc seem pretty reasonable. I think I'll have to start collecting photographs and have a go.

Yeah they do seem decent, I have sold a couple of prints, now I just have to wait and see if the $$ comes through on time.

Not sure if any of them are going to do well in terms of people buying prints, but feel free to let me know what you think guys. I have never actually done a "portofolio of work" before. Any advice appreciated, oh yeah and buy my photos.

I've added you both in my watchlist. Maybe this way we can get some cross-selling going on.

I am on there now too, and I think I have added everyone.
Seems like a good interface. I would like to see a stats page (or is there one that shows up onlywhen you have actually sold something?

Thanks for the link, great looking site.
If you crop images, do they need to fit a certain size, or can they be random, and still be printable?

All ratios can now be accomodated by that website when printing the images. I printed a few shots out for my mum recently and I was happy with the quality of the results. Got some nice A4 laminated prints done for just $15 each - delivered to her door.

Take a look at their size specs, I think you need something from 4-6MP for a "small" print, and up to 10-12MP on the large sizes. Otherwise, those options are not available.

Are we allowed to put on SHB or OH shots there for sale? Its not a commercial purpose, but its much like selling my own arts... I havent done so yet, but not sure if it is legally accepted. I dont want to end up in big troubles with the government.

Good question I assumed no (due to other sites retricting SBH and OH images), but I have seen some OH images on the site, so I really don't know.

The government? Ha! I fart in their general direction. Im putting up all my OH shots.
But on a more serious note, does an aspect ration of 1:1 just mean the image is square?

I have to report back and say Katie surprised me by buying 15 of my cards and they have arrived and the quality is amazing, they are really great and I'm excited now to give something I shot away as a gift. 2 Thumbs up for Red Bubble.

Cool! Thanks for the feedback about the prints. I joined a couple of days ago for this reason - their print prices seem quite reasonable.

Craig,
Those are impressive looking cards, very nice.
Think I have to check out this site now, I was wondering what all the 'red bubble' stuff meant in people's signatures!

All of the Red Bubble stuff is actually done at Horsham Colour in Horsham Vic. I was there a few weeks ago for a tour and to work on some images when through conversation we got onto talking about Red Bubble...
The tour then took me to another part of the building where I was shown the behind the scenes of RED BUBBLE. The guys there are really good and know there stuff. I got the see the very first production of the greeting cards.
Its a small world!

I just put in my ABN and said I wasn't registered for GST (because I'm not
)
Added a few more to my watchlist
Perhaps we need to setup a little area where we can all put our URL so we can add each other? Hmm that sounds a little kinky...
I finally added some of my better work up there
Craig those cards look fab!

Glad to see some more members signing up there, good luck to you all
I'll have a canvas, a laminated print and some cards arriving soon so I'll post a few shots and a review of the quality of the bigger ticket items. (I'd hoped to have something to pass round at the AW dinner but I'm not sure I ordered with enough lead time).
