hmmm, timing smells like something will land tonight. Hope this leads to a reduced price in D2h and D2hs, as I like one for a second body (want 70-200 and 28-70 (or 85) on a body each for busy shoots).

I dont think personally I'm going to buy into D3 - but I think the whole thing is a bit exciting. Nikon is supposed to be going hardcore into digital after discontinuing much of the film stuff... so lets see it!

Looks like Nikon is about to join in the new evolution of high speed DSLR madness. :D

The D2H and s models were 8fps, only 2fps off the new Canon 8)

Not unexpected. The D2h is getting a bit old now.

Well it would make sense to upgrade the D2h instead of the D2x. Problem being it could take the D2x's sales if it were at the right MP/quality/speed mark.

Nikon might get up 8-11fps @ 10.2MP with good high ISO performance

They must fix their high ISO noise issue in order to stay up with the league. FPS and MP is not really an issue for most I'd say, but the noise is what it buggers.

An oldie but a goodie mate. I think it will need to be a good replacement they bring out to say the least! :D
