Where did the term "Dust Bunnies" originate?

One hard hitting issue to contemplete

It's a part of our everyday digital photography vocabulary but have you ever wondered where it came from?

Is it because

1) The dust multiplies like rabbits
2) They live in small dark places
3) They are a pest
4) They are hard to eradicate
5) They "jump" into your photos
6) They serve no useful purpose
7) All of the above

Two things:
1. Very Funny
2. You have way too much free time - go take some pics :) [/b]
