I have been carrying my photography gear in a shoulder bag. I’m acquiring more photography gear;
It becomes awkward to carry my lenses and accessories in such bag.

Kata R-103.

It holds two DSLR bodies, 6 lenses incl a telephoto, accessories, a tripod and a notebook.

Price: Around $210 delivered to my door.

I've got the R-103.
It's very comfortable. I love the padding on the back and should straps, I could carry it all day!

Being able to unzip the middle for quick access seemed like a good idea - however I forgot to zip it up a couple of times, and once had some gear dropping onto concrete (my own fault).

I think it feels tough and comes with a raincover.
I like it. What more? :D

I've been wanting the Kata R-102 ever since I heard they made combat armour used by the Israelis.

Hi,

I've got the Kata R-102 back pack (Rucksack) and I love it.
It is a great bag to carry a lot of gear, it is cabin bag size (good for air travel).
It protects the gear very well - it has significant padding.
The thing with a back pack is however, that you need to take it off to access the camera etc ...
If I were to get a new bag, I'd probably be investigating a LowePro slingshot 200 or 300.
These slingshots allow access to the camera gear without taking the bag off and they are worn like a back pack.

HTH,
