Can anyone speak Japanese and / or runs a copy of Windows XP Japanese Edition?

Nikon Imaging (Japan) have released a piece of software for the D70 where... I'm not exactly sure what it is...
It seems to be some sort of D70 connected tutorial system allowing D70 manipulation by a lecturer... although I honestly have no idea.

The translations aren't coming up as any sort of English I'm familiar with...

Not sure how to translate it either, but while looking at it I did find something I hadn't seen before... What looks like a complete set of tutorials for the D70... Has anyone ever seen these before?

Maybe the Direct Commander enables your D70 to interract with this tutorial or something... Pure speculation on my part...

I'm betting that it's very similar to an interactive CD that Canon put out a couple of years ago where you had a camera control on the screen and when you altered the control the image changed to reflect the new setting. In this case though...it looks like the D70 itself will be the control tool and when you press the shutter the image on your screen will alter to show the change. Would be a useful learning/teaching aid.

The Direct Commander software is the software I referred to in the PMA thread. It looks like a .Net compiled version (more than just an update, I suspect) to NCC, and would provide you with the NCC functionality from your PC. Being .Net, it also might porovide the hooks for integration with PPCs.

The tutorials they're mentioning seem to be separate again, and they're also referencing what seems to be a slow scan movie mode on the D70, which is merely what you're already doing with your camera. Check the videos on the site, and also not the 144 references on the image of the LCDs; 144 was the (original) stated capacity of the CF cards in mediium JPG mode, continuous shooting, non-stop, etc.

These videos (there are two of them) seem to be describing this technique.

Huh. I better get my movie done quickly if I want to claim "First movie made with a D70" then, wouldn't I?

Leek, the DigiTutor is in important links I beleive, been around for a bit.

I agree that it seems to change an on screen image based on camera settings.

This program is exactly what I need for my little project. It would have all the code for sending and receiving usb signals, hopefully I can find someone to take it apart.......hmmm
