I love it when we make some money out of our hobby/bussines etc...
Think in a previous post how i was at the airport and was approached by this bloke who had just landed his plane, and asked if i would take some pics of him and his new plane inwhich i did. Anyhow he has brought 5 pics i took so that will help towards more gear, uhm maybe another compact flash card.
Cheers
John

What did you end up doing with the image rights etc. and what did you charge for the prints or images?
If you don't mind telling us that is.

BBJ, glad its working for you. Why don't you post one of the series (not necessarily the ones you sold, the new owner may own those rights). Congratulations

Hi All, Well brembo we didn't talk about rights but i get the camera shop put the file name on the back of the prints with my copyright on them so yeh.
Anyhow they are not fantasic pictures as there is only so much you can do on a hot sunny day with a plane sitting on the ground.LOL
But i try to stay with a couple of other blokes running around town here with there prices as i see he has put his price up, 8x12=$35 as mine are $25 maybe a bit too cheap, i think i could go to $27that way i make $20 out of it as is cost me $7 to have printed. People seem to be happy to pay this and i give them an option of a few sizes.
Anyhow here is just 1 shot out the ones i did, nothing special and well if u can afford to own and fly your own plane and dont have any pics of it at all i guess thats ok hey.LOL
Cheers

BBJ,
You may get a fulltime job with him as his personal photographer.

John,
Shooting from the air will present you with some unique challenges and learning opportunities. Nice image, and as Glen said, nice perspective.
And as you say, given that this guy owns his own plane, the cost of the photos shouldn't be a major issue for him.

True Garry, Who knows we all have to start somewhere and well it beats taking pictures of motorbikes all the time as that is my main money spinner and well it all helps.
Cheers

G'day,
Good on ya mate... Great angle on the subject, makes the shot a little bit different, would have liked to see the bottom of the scoop under the nose, was it cropped at all?
Least you can feel better knowing his hobby is even more expensive than ours
Cheers mate

BBJ,
If there's a cpl in your pocket at that time, it may help!

John,
As Birddog says, a cpl, or perhaps a couple of reflectors or studio lights.

Hi Gary, yes well thats ok and well i did put the cpl on after i did a few shots but that shot isn't 1 of them and well yeh all helps hey.
As this was all spare of the moment as he was about to fuel up and waiting for the fuel man so was ok though just 1 of those hot bright days.
Thanks
John
