Just finished my 2nd paid portrait shoot and have another one this afternoon (family portraiture outdoors)..I'm lucky got a great day weather-wise for it...might post some this evening/next few days. Hope everyone is having an awesome day! :)

Geoff. PS - To anyone thinking of getting a 2nd D70 body, it's VERY handy having two cams with different lenses, I made use of primarily the 50mm 1.4 but also the kit lens and the under rated 300G! :) I'm loving this gig! :)

Thanx Chris,
Yeah..I had to be very wary of shadows but as I do more i'm learning so much more, this is brilliant..I have a lot to be thankful for in life...we all do really. Where we live, in this awesome country, our health (most of us can all get out and about still), the air we breathe, the friends we have, the clean water, the availibility of fresh food etc...makes me feel lucky to be alive! Oh yeah, and the D70 too! No, I'm not on drugs! Just high on life :)

Mate bwas going to pm you to see if you were having any special moments. Great news two gigs in one day, cant wait to see a few examples.

Is it just me or has this camera caused a few seachanges? (people changing jobs to become photogs)

Yeah, a few special moments Glen...tis pretty cool. After this job in the evening today I have 2 more portrait jobs lined up but no dates set as yet. As for weddings, I have one booked in September 2006 and a few 'interested' parties...so yeah, I guess it's becoming a seachange! :) I need a few more jobs before I can justify the beautiful 70-200VR though :).

Looking forward to seeing the portrait stuff mate :-)

What the heck, splurge on yourself and go for the 70-200 now, just think of all the shots you'd get while you were saving up, that's what plastic money's for ;-)

Cheers,
Mudder

Geoff, you've been pretty successful in this new career of yours, congratulations. You'll also want to add the 85/1.4 to your wishlist. ;)

That's fantastic mate. Well done on your blossoming second career.

It does seem like the D70 (and this forum) have lightened a few paying hobbies and the definate possibility of some seachange type career changes. :)
