So yeah looked everywhere and cant seem to find it was anyone out there and happened to find it? i know long shot but who knows, if so ill provide the serial number as proof.

Ouch. Sorry to hear about that Michael. Keep an eye on ebay and the trading post for anyone trying to sell it off .

a positive to come from it all my insurance came through and i should be picking up the new lens from Teds within a few days.

APIA home and contents, i simply needed to file a police report via their telephone service, obtain two quotes and fax it with proof of ownership and within about 16hrs it had been approved.
