Just about everybody I think, judging by the number of posts and how far apart they are.

I just had a look at the error console in Firefox and it's full of messages like this:

Warning: Unknown property '-khtml-opacity'. Declaration dropped.
Source File: http://www.dslrusers.net/smoothgallery/ ... allery.css
Line: 189

I don't know if it means anything or not but it's been unworkable today.

It's the Nightmarehost Sunday night squabble.

They tell me that it's our site drawing upon too many resources.

That would be fine, and I could acceopt that statement .... except that I can predict when it's goping to happen.

Every Monday, Sydney time.

Sunday night, LA time.

Hellhost tell me that it's nothing to do with any other client on the host.

If that's the case, why does it only happen once a week.

On Mondays?

To Dreamhost, I say bull bloody shit

We're looking at alternatives, but a couple of features that we need aren't generally available. For instance, NoDaddy doesn't give you easy access to the database, and Leigh and I had to drip feed that database into their servers using phpmyadmin. it was a mammoth job, and that was about two years ago.

I have no intention of doing it again, thank you very much.

The first ting on the list is an upgrade of the software: Olympus is now at RC1, and it therefore has a supported upgrade path, and we have a suitable portal, that we've already extensively modified, but I'm not yet satisfied with where that is. I'm reserving time to look more closely at this over the weekend.

Thanks for the update Gary - frustrating times.
Appreciate the work and effort you and Leigh are putting in to try and rectify the issues.

I concur, I too appreciate the effort you put into the site. Without it, there's not much else to do on the 'net. Not for me anyway. There's only so much porn i can download, errr i mean weather sites to look at.... :)

Definitely appreciate the work you guys (Gary, Leigh) are putting in. Do you know how much work I did yesterday in the office? A lot more than I care to have to do again, that's how much .

Gary/Leigh - you’re the good oil in the mechanics of chaos
