Did we have an outage last night?

Postby Glen on Tue Feb 08, 2005 10:03 am

I tried to log on about 12.30 - 1.00am and couldn't get through, did we have an outage?

Glen,

When I woke up this morning, there seemed to be no traffic passing through the router, so I rebooted it. I also noted that there seemed to be very little traffic overnight, both through the email server or through the forums, so I suspect the short answer is yes, but only insofar as the router was concerned.

I logged in at 4:30 this morning, no sign of action, I thought someone pulls the plug this time once again, not you, not Leigh, perhaps the 3rd person

I found that I couldn't access any of our pages last night (my page, Dad's, and the D70 page) but had no problems accessing any other page on the web that I was visiting or downloading from.

Pretty much after we had the network issues...

But I only began noticing it from maybe 12 to around 2.30-2.40.. when I went to bed.

And it looks like MHD's server is having some problems at the moment, too.

All of which is pointing to our router having hung somewhere a little after midnight.

Nothing worse than having an outage in your router. Especially at my age. :)

Yeah, I was happily posting away and browsing then all of a sudden 404. I thought it might have been my end as I'm shaped to dialup speeds (for exceeding my monthly cap in 2 days), so I gave it 10 minutes and tried the main page. Still 404. I instantly thought of Leigh (sorry Leigh), then I thought maybe it's a sign I should go to bed. Glad I did... the universe is restored once again. :)

There are certain things I don't need to think about.

That is one of them.

No offense, of course. :)

Onyx, what did you do to exceed your cap in 2 days? Every new movie for the last 3 months?

:D No no no, there's nothing involving Asia Carrera or Jenna Jameson... I'm a squeeky clean boy. 8) South Park season 7, and The OC - I'm a big fan of mind numbingness.

In fact, next month I might look into that super happy lucky bunny rabbit or what's it called - Leigh, the one you had on your phone at the Bobbin Heads meet. :)

I think it is a crowd in San Fransisco called Atom Films who are delightfully warped

And then some. I bought one of their DVDs while in LA over Chrissie. Outrageously funny; it's an extract of that that Leigh has on his cell.

Atom Films don't make it... they run a site that plays it.

However, Mondo Media do make it.
