CS3 extended for $215 plus postage. If you or a family member are a student then this is the way to go.

Is getting a student discount when you aren't a student any more ethical than paying nothing (illegal copy)?

I like how you draw the arch from a 3 person scenario to Australia vs other countries... Remember, generalisations are always wrong
I always found photoshop outrageously expensive as a photography tool (I'm not talking about graphic design), and consequently don't own or use it.

That would be a factor, more of their lack of exposure to the real world, than anything else. Let's see .... they're uni students ... how much exposure to the corporate world, and in how many countries, would they have had ...
Again ... uni ... let me translate ... maybe late teens or early twenties === young.
Students .... ditto.

I am a full time Uni Student living in student digs
Exposure to the corporate world... >25 years
Exposure to other countries (corporate & non corporate) >20
Age... Hmm Let's just say Thank you Gary
