Could you review my website please?http://weddings.ausphotos.com/
Just making a website to promote our new business venture... wanted something simple and basic, yet easy to navigate. We still dont' have a name for it, so any ideas on that would be cool as well!
Looks great, and easy to navigate. Only small thing (or maybe not so small) is the bride on your home page doesn't look too happy. Maybe a different photo to create a better first impression? Just my first impression, I liked everything else. There are enough sample images but not too many. Good luck.
Hi Owen,
A couple of things: - The email address shown at the top of each page should be a link, so people don't have to cut-n-paste or go to your contact page. - All the pages seem a little bit wider than my 1024x728 screen will fit, so I get a scroll bar and have to pan left and right. Owen,
I'm using Safari on a Mac. When viewing the gallery, if I view a landscape photo and then go see a portrait photo, the portrait photo gets squeezed in the landscape space. Not very flattering For email, I would suggest putting a generic email address, such as weddings@ausphotos.com. That way, you know they came from your website and if you decide to expand and have your assistant look after the email, it will make it easier. Otherwise, looks nice and easy to navigate. good luck with the new venture. Thanks guys, I really appreciate it.
The site should fit better on a smaller resolution now, though I need to change the size of a few of the vertical photos in the gallery. I tried safari on windows here at work but it's not working through our proxy, so I'll try it at home later on.... and thanks for the idea about the email address, i've created it and now just need to alter the webpage. Cheers, Owen.
Thanks very much Glen.
Though I've just stuffed the contacts page trying to get a web form in there... hehe had weird characters all over the shop!
I think it looks good, however, my critical comments would be:
1. Change the format of the links (top row) compared to ordinary text. 2. It may be just me, but I think screen based text in Times New Roman (?) is hard to read. I think there are better fonts available? Just my 2c. Regards, Patrick
Two or three lights, any lens on a light-tight box are sufficient for the realisation of the most convincing image. Man Ray 1935. Our mug is smug
When on page 2, clicking some thumbnails causes the page number hyperlinks below the thumbnails to jump to left align if centre aligned or vv.
Other than that, you have a nice website. Cheers Graham
nice and simple but what if the user has javascript disabled for whatever reason, the navigation then fails. sorry debug cap on now
the font presentation and layout can be spaced out and improved a bit when you first arrive on the page. consider leaving a bit more space in between paragraphs and the RHS image. right now it's feeling a tad cluttered. otherwise clean and minimal. Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone
Come follow the rabbit hole...
Thankyou guys.
Regarding the font, the one I designed it in is Tahoma, however i think when that is not present then it must fall back to something else. I could try arial as everyone has that. Regarding the javascript... yeah, it's pretty much stuffed if they don't have that enabled. I'll see if there's an easy workaround I can do. Fixed the links on gallery page 2 as well. Thanks! Owen.
Well done getting the website up and running.
I will try to send you some business. There's got to be lot's of people i know in the area getting married soon. It's nearly spring. Steve.

I know that my photos on the site aren't as good as a lot of others, but hopefully I'll be given a chance and we can get some more experience and improve. Now... to buy the backup camera...
