For anyone in Sydney during the next 5 months I can recommend a trip to see the Earth from Above Photographic Exhibition at Darling Harbour. It's outdoors, it's free and well worth a visit. With over 100 large scale images showing the Earth from a hot air balloon it has been created as a record of the world's environment as a benchmark for future generations. Check it out on http://www.earthfromabove.whereis.com The photographer is Yann Arthus-Bertrand.

It was my first visit to Darling Harbour so I'm not sure about the Convention Centre, however it is more or less behind the Imax theatre in the outdoor/urban space. Good luck.
