Hey,

* weblinks?
* names/numbers/addresses?
* why?

I realise style and taste are subjective but I'm still interested in your opinions.

Photographer is for my wedding (prob year, to a year and a half away, but doing some research early...)

And to anyone who is a wedding photographer, i ask: Is it more annoying/daunting when your client has a fair/vast photographic knowledge? What is my best approach to take before during and after the process/wedding...??

Thanks,

Mark

p.s. Any good ones from south/central QLD coast too???

Let the phot do his/her work and enjoy the day instead. Don't drink too much. The last thing that should be on your mind is photography.

Sorry but i don't know any wedding phots in Newcastle.

Chris Elfes from Photography on Hermitage did our wedding and I can't praise him highly enough.Examples can be seen at http://www.onhermitage.com

He's now based at his house on Hermitage road at Pokolbin but I know that he does NEwcastle shoots

CAn't tell you about prices as we had a weekday wedding and got a better deal.

We got both film and digital shots, ownership of the negs after 3 months, every shot taken as a 6 x 4 proof and a disc with all the digital shots. Much better value than some of the quotes we got.

Good luck.

also inserts self-blatant plug...

Vibrant Photography is my website!

Not at all daunting, it means they will pick out the photos I would choose for an album :)

+1 to what Vincent said - this is your day, find a photographer that seems consistent and produces albums / images you like and then enjoy the day!

Im in the Illawarra area but Ive traveled even interstate before to cover weddings.

Good luck and congratulations on being engaged! Married life is ACE!

Thankyou to all who've replied, I appreciate the advice.

Vincent, I'd received the link to your site previously - and have to say i'm highly impressed with you (..and your partner..??) - great, cosy style. The most user-friendly, well-presented website too...

Thanks for the other links guys, I'll check them out!
