Hey Geoff.....whether or not to take the big jump into the dark side.......lol (joking Canon users)......

I now have (because i scored one for next to nothing a 350D - that i am going to use for low light shooting etc) and if i start seeing Canon L series lenses here and there for great prices i may take the plunge and the trickle could become a flood.....not sure yet.....i am however holding back to see what Nikon have up their sleeve next!

for what you do i dont think a markiii would be worthwhiel, 5D would be, and basing your decision whether to jump ship or not on the 350D isnt a good move, its not the best, does the job but nothing special, 30D or even 20D ok but not 350D

Agreed.. 350d is no better than a glorified p&s..

Sell it on ebay, buy a 5d.. then you will be singing Dan

350D a glorified P&S camera? I totally and utterly disagree. I've seen some AMAZING shots from this camera.

at high ISO, you're better off with the d200. The entry level canons are useless at high ISOs as you lose a fair bit of detail. *hugs my 5D*

With all due respect, i've seen some amazing shots from a pinhole camera. They still amaze me how they work. The quality is crap though.

:) :) :)

Somehow I'm starting to agree with that, with the current Nikon lineup and all...

haha even im considering jumping ship..
but the thought of making a fair bit of loss on my gear is not too enticing.
canon equivalents are so much more expensive too. >$500 on a 70-200/2.8 IS compared to 70-200VR gahh...

one day.
