A question of timing.I notice a number of wedding togs quote 3, 4 & 5 hour shooting packages.
Do these time periods generally include the travel time between sites (ie house to church or church to reception) or are they are they actual shooting times? Also how do you handle the question of over running the time. D700, 50 1.8, 14-24 2.8, 24-70 2.8, 70-200VR, 80-400VR, SB800 plus a lot of gadgets
Walk away, don't take no for an answer, walk away (with apologies to Mark Seymour).
Seriously, those sort of restrictions scare me but I can fully understand why 'togs put them in. My limited wedding experience is that it's very easy for a "quick shoot at the beach/park/boatshed" can turn into 4 hours of hell as people faff with the dedication normally associated with buddhist extremists. I would expect that half an hour after the time has elapsed you'd be negitiating with the photographer an hourly rate for continued hire, or possibly watching them leave. Think of it this way: if you want them for the full day, pay the day rate. If you want them to leave at 3pm, pay them until 3pm. Don't be surprised if a good photog has both morning and evening engagements. If you try to stop them getting to their next gig, you have to expect a certain amount of hassle. http://www.moz.net.nz
