Help finding a program

Postby kipper on Thu Feb 17, 2005 5:51 pm

Ok, I have files (JPEGS) in multiple folders. Some of them named identically to those in other folders. Is there a program that will search subfolders and take those files and name them sequentially and place them in the root.

eg.

file0001.ext
file0002.ext
file0003.ext
file0004.ext
...

I'm pretty sure Irfan View can do that, I know it has a batch conversion/rename function.

If Discreet released a *nix version of 3ds Max, it'd be intelligent... which is exactly why I don't anticpate it.

And of course, you can change the numbering sequence in your camera so this "problem" just goes bye-bye.
