Whoa.

Now for the really impressive factoring...

((300-800) x 2x TC) x 1.5 conversion for D70.

A 900-2400 lens would ROCK!!!

You wouldn't need to go to the beach... you could take a room in thw Swiss Grand or whatever the hotel is on the beach and pick people off in close ups. :)

Yeh and if you did happen to wander out with it and they tried to take it off you, could beat them with it.
But imagine the looks you would get, is that a bazooka??
Sounds like fun to me.

You'd need to be shooting within 1 stop of maximum available shutter speed to minimise shake! ;)

I would love to take that lens into Charlestown shopping centre and have security asked me to put it away - I wonder where I would put it

Yeah, I think I posted this link up a while back:

The thing is a beast!

Could you imagine being in Iraq with this thing and trying to take photos of US Soldiers.

All the war correspondences don't have or need the long zoom, they're armed and equipped for flexibility and mobility.

Would of loved to have seen the look of the security guards if I had this in the stands. They'd be like "you're taking the piss aren't you son?".

Wow.

You can photograph polar bears in their natural habitat...from your living room.

Not much room left in the Microtrekker....

Team of Sherpas required everytime you take it out.
