and bought myself lots and lots of goodies... *nodsnods*...
I picked up a Fuji S5pro and a Nikon 18-200 VR lens... to play with...
I know ...I'm a Canon girl but I figured that this camera would be loads of fun and as its not as large or as heavy as my Canons then it would be more portable and I could take it to parties... and the colour always seems so nice with them...
While I was there I also grabbed a Sigma 10 - 22mm lens.. another cheapy but once again its for play... with my Canon..
and I grabbed some UV filters.. a new Lowpro Camera Bag.. yeah I know I just bought one but it's huge and I wanted one just for day use.. and a five in one reflector (its massive lol)... plus a various assortment of spare batteries... lens cloths etc..
After xmas I am ordering the Canon 5D and the 70 - 200 mm IS L series lens.. I should have done that last week but I forgot and now it would mean me being concerned about where to have it delievered to and stuff.. ("yes Mr postman its the blue and white 28 foot cruiser out on the bay" *nods*) it will have to wait till I am back at work now...
I guess that I am just warning ya to be prepared and ready for loads of crappy photo's to be posted on the forum from me.. the crappy ones will be from the Fuji... the good ones will be from the Canon...yeah once a Canon girl always one I'm afraid...
So..
the battery is charged and installed..
soooo anyone know how to work this thing?...
The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but it's still on the list...

That is quite some shopping spree! Be interested to see what you think of the Fuji in comparison with you Canons.

Sue,
Why didn't you get a D300? Probably the best camera ever.

Well I've only played with it for about 10 minutes in the back garden.. and I must say that so far I'm fairly impressed... the colours are lovely and rich and the camera itself is very user friendly and appears to cope really well with a wide variety of different light... time will tell though but as it stands now I am glad that I bought it... Ooooh noooo..... I played with Gary's... camera that is... and while it seems good... nothing beats the Canons in my book.. *nods*...

Nice toys, and now it's playtime. While I was there I also grabbed a Sigma 10 - 22mm lens.. another cheapy but once again its for play... with my Canon..
You will love the Sigma UW; it's just so much fun. and a five in one reflector (its massive lol)...
Tell us more about this, please. After xmas I am ordering the Canon 5D and the 70 - 200 mm IS L series lens..
By then you'll be so enamoured of the Nikon glass, performance and ergonomics that you'll be wanting the D300 and 70-200VR, plus the 85 f/1.4, and you'll still have change in your pocket from what the 5D plus 70-200 ISL would have cost you.

Yes well.. and playtime is what I do best.. gstark wrote:You will love the Sigma UW; it's just so much .
Uh huh.. and you do realise that its your fault that I bought this lens... since playing with yours.. (lens that is lol).. I just had to get one for myself.. Btw.. the bill is in the mail.. *evil grin* gstark wrote:Tell us more about this, please..
Its ummm a reflector.. that has covers you can put over it.. so basically you have the diffuser, a black, silver, white and gold... quite handy actually.. gstark wrote:By then you'll be so enamoured of the Nikon glass, performance and ergonomics that you'll be wanting the D300 and 70-200VR, plus the 85 f/1.4, and you'll still have change in your pocket from what the 5D plus 70-200 ISL would have cost you.
Nooooooo... I won't change over... I won't! Besides... you do get what you pay for... Rooz wrote:welcome to the dark side. well...not quite the dark side...more grey side...close enuf.

James, I did some "product shots" for OL last night with the 28-70 and SB800 after quite a few of Boag's finest
So . At least I have gold boxes, as opposed to a stuffed 80-200
