Has anyone actually tried this lens? Is it worth my time of day (assuming it is worth something)?

I am trying to think of a fast and wide lens for gigs/events. I was thinking that this might be acceptable if I can get in reasonably close quarters with a performer etc. I think my future has a 5D in it, so I would rather FF.

Please keep me informed of your intentions for yours

Ultimately I want that Nikon 14-24. Does anyone know anything about the "Nikon G-Canon EF adaptor" mentioned in that link posted by methd?

And my apologies for a rambling muse of a post, but does anyone know of a performing aps fast wide prime?

I have a Nikon 20mm F2.8, and I found the focal length isn't really that great on a crop camera. It kind of square in that middle ground between a wide and normal lens.

IMHO it is a far more usable focal length when i put it on a 35mm body.
body: nikon d200, d70s, f4s, f601.
lens:nikon 35-70mm f2.8, 70-300mm f4-5.6, 10.5mm f2.8, 20mm f2.8, 28mm f2.8, 50mm f1.8.
flash: nikon sb600, sunpak 383 (x1), sunpak 555 (x4), pocketwizard plus II (x4)

Yeah, 21 becomes a pretty standard frame on crop bodies. I am thinking about the sigma 14mm 2.8, but for the approx grand, I would prefer doubling + my money for something a bit more substantial.
