Posted: Tue Jan 01, 2008 8:37 amA quick howdy all for my first post, I stumbled on to this site a week or two back and being an avid photographer I find I am spending a lot of time browsing the forums, a lot of great advise, thank you.
A quick run down on my interest in photography, I am a contributing photographer for Dragster Australia, my love of shooting the drags goes back thirty years, I use all Nikon, for no other reason than it was the first camera I purchased and I feel no need to change. a typical day at the drags will see me carrying a D200, a 17-55mm 2.8 zoom, a 70-200mm 2.8 zoom, a TC 1.7 converter and a SB800 flash, with that combination I feel I have it all covered, shortly I will be updating to a D300, and a bit further down the track a 400 2.8 prime, an expensive addition that I hope is not too far off.
That's about me in a nut shell, my user name comes from my love of playing bluegrass style guitar, another one of my loves going back many years, a happy new year to all,
