Have they forgotten to review the D300 and D3 or are they just plain slooooow?

They've traditionally a little slow in reviewing the big releases... and when they finally come, it's easy to see why!!!
The recent Sony A700 review clocked up 33 pretty intense pages, as is usual.
Not great for those of us who are wondering whether to shell out for one of the cameras and like to read as many reviews as possible... but man they are thorough

They're slow, and they're thorough, but with the D300 and D3 there's a hell of a lot of stuff for them to cover, so I expect it will be a while.
Des, what are you waiting to find out?

Ah, nothing really, Gary. I just like reading the reviews and seeing if the product is up to scratch. If I was still on a D70s or I was incredibly flush with funds... I wouldn't hesitate to order a D3 or D300 even without reading the formal reviews as I've seen so many personal reviews on this and other forums. I got a lot of information from the thread that you posted before when you'd just received your D300 for instance.

They are also very slow with the two new Canon cameras so it's not really that surprising. I'm expecting the 5D successor to be in retail before we see a 1DsIII review on DPReview.
