What material is the Sprocket?

If it is not aluminium then don’t try to have it welded.

Things that are diecast are notoriously hard to weld, especially aluminium.
The metal heats up too quickly and deforms sometimes completely melting.

Your best bet is to attach with screws or rivets.

If the beauty dish is not too heavy then industrial glue like Sika-flex might do the job well enough depending on the surface area being glued.

Hope this helps.

I used to be a boilermaker, I am now an IT nerd.

I would look at the adhesive option as it will not damage the beauty dish.
and it is reversable if you find it is not what you expected/wanted.
