As I can't post a reply in the announcements section (being a newbie and all) - thought I would be creative and post one here - hope that meets with your approval Gary

Gary - just wanted to say - shit didn't mean to tip you over the edge - here have a drink on me

Yeah, I too was one of the noob's that managed to make a pelican of myself.

Hopefully the apology was enough for me to keep registered here and happily informed.

I too, will go for some public shame.

Though in my defence, there should be FAQ links on every bargain page to avoid wallies asking questions of a nature frequently asked by others.

Tail between lens for now.

The three posts above indicate to me the beautiful people that frequent this forum. It is never easy to say sorry.

There is one on every single forum page (and even one when posting a reply or a new topic). The View All Bargains page is actually probably the only page on the whole site that does not have a FAQ link.

Exactly.

And if you're already on the bargain page, then it's probably too late. For instance, each of the suspect questions that I was asked related more to where is the bargains list or "I can't see it"; if you're on the bargains page, questions of that nature are moot.

And I am reluctant to put the relevant FAQ sections onto the bargains page - that is simply a maintenance nightmare. A link? I cannot remember if the new forum bargain pages will have that, but again, if you're already there, that point is probably moot.

I feel terrible now. My first PM's to Gary were about sourcing phpBB coding MOD's and nothing to do with the FAQ, Bargin section, etc, etc.

Gary, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have read the FAQ first
