Newb' travelling to Singapore

Postby mikephotog on Tue Jan 15, 2008 2:37 pm

I'll be in Singapore for work next month (Feb) with two days (Sat 9th/Sun10th) to myself.

Any suggestions on what to do over those two days great fully accepted.
Not looking to do any big $ shopping, but interested in knock off stuff etc.

Bugis markets are fun, cheap and plenty of knock off stuff (what sort of stuff did you want?) It has cheap watches, shirts, handbags, shoes, that kind of stuff. It's a stop on the MRT so easy to get too. Sim Lim and Funan are nice for looking around at tech style stuff, just up from Funan is another plaza that looks dodgey but has a few interesting camera stores, with new and second hand stuff.

If you have time, I'd suggest the Night Safari, the Zoo or the Bird park. There are Duck tours, not overly exciting but a nice way to see Singapore from a different perspective.
