some help needed for calibration

Postby iposiniditos on Fri Jan 11, 2008 12:04 pm

hello all,

i've just purchased a spyder2 hardware and ColorEyes Display Pro.
I'm trying to calibrate a mbp 15" (led display) and a dell 2405fpw.
I can't get managed to match the two screens whatever i've made...

What i've read so far over the net and trying to include in my tries is:
Gamma 2.2 and non-ddc for dell and Gamma L* for mbp.

any help would be more than great.

many thanks in advance,
theodoros

I'll give this a try =)

I'm personally using a Spyder2pro with included software so there may be differences in calibration method. Some extra info needed
1) Are the differences in both screens after calibration related to colour temperature (R, G, B) , gamma or just brightness and contrast?

When trying to match two CRT screens, I basically pre-calibrate both screens to the same temperature using R, G, B sliders and gamma 2.2. Also I try to match the max and minimum luminances. However since both screens are identical and running off the same graphics card, my task is a lot easier than yours. Maybe try to use one screen calibrated to your liking as a reference, then try to match the colour on the other screen. Hope that helps
