Very interesting indead !
Well, this price is perhaps not quite within range for the enthusiast amateur and still wants to be justified for the professional.
I flinched when I saw the price.
But hey, some people drive to and from work in a dirty expensive something.
I almost commited myself to an expensive set of wheels.
If you have the money pocket go for it and show us your photos.
Cheers

What a bargain!! $8K body only, but they do chuck in Picture Project software
When you consider that to double the resolution of a 6MP camera like the D70 you need to increase the MP count by a factor of four (24MP) then a 12MP camera only gives you about a 25% increase in resolution (dig out the old maths textbooks and look at the logarithmic scales).
Pass..........

Go for it Birdy!! If I could think of a way to convince Mr Taxman or (even more importantly) Mrs Wife that I needed one, I'd be standing in the queue right next to you

Hey, the Taxman allows me to use this one as demo and eval same as marketing tools and my company income was generated by those sources.
Nothing wrong with it and I'm an employee to work for my company, same as company car and FBT.

Birddy, I am envious. I think that is a very reasonable price. I don't have one on order, but who knows what price they will be by the end of the year?

I am with you MHD, seems to be plenty of loop holes.
I did know a bloke who electrical wired his house full automation ,video projectors, ect and used it as a display of his skills as an electrical contractor all as business expenses.
Now if only work would let me salary sacrafice a 70-200Vr is stead of a laptop. I guess its all in the receipt.

They are very sweet words to my eyes Birdy, when the FTB year comes around you may just get a little PM from me to see if we can work something out.
Thanks
