You left a couple of things off your timeline, I suspect.
- Three weeks later people be commenting on the focusing issues in the new Canon FF
- Seven months later we'll see firmware revison 1.03b that finally fixes those focusing issues.
Seriously now ...

not a forum for pissing contests between brands. Please take those sorts of comments, elsewhere. I understand that your comment was made in jest, but it could easily be taken the wrong way, so please, let's just deal with this on its merits.
I will certainly be interested to see what sort of a FF camera Sony can produce: there's some great old glass that, if they can get the engineering right - should be able to be used on such a body. Sadly, I doubt that Sony's engineers will be permitted to do the job correctly. See item #4 in
this thread.
If they get it right, then it's more competition for Canon and Nikon, both of which now produce great FF camera bodies. That is only going to be good for us, the consumers, at the end of the day. If they don't, then we're no worse off than today.
In the meantime, both Canon and Nikon are continuing to do their R&D, and we'll certainly be seeing more interesting products from them over the next 18 months or so.
