are my studio flashes on the way out?I've got an old bowens prolight 60, after an hour of use without modelling light, flash seem to stop working. The overheat lamp isn't flashing but works after i switch it off for about 30mintutes.
is it time to get it checked? Life's pretty straight without drifting

Re: are my studio flashes on the way out?
Well I don't really know anything about lights... but it sounds to me like it wouldn't hurt to get them checked out.. especially if this is a new thing.. The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but it's still on the list...
Re: are my studio flashes on the way out?It might be one of the capacitors inside is wearing out and/or contact is lose. So when it's hot it gives away and once its cool down, it comes back down a bit...
I'm not exactly sure if this is the case, but it happens with televisions and other older electrical appliances with big capacitors inside.
