Ive been researching the sekonic 758DR lightmeter and I have a question...

It can trigger Pocketwizards - does it matter where this lightmeter is purchased? Ive read elsewhere about the different frequencies that pocketwizards run at legally - european / usa etc.

it specs are:

Radio Wave Frequency: USA & Canada - CH1-CH16 344.00MHz; CH17-CH32 346.50 - 354.00MHz; Europe: CH1-CH16 433.62MHz; CH17-CH32 434.22MHz
is this Aussie legal?

I was thinking of getting it from B&H.

Thanks!

found some info on the net:

The meters imported into Australia use the Euro Standard (CE) frequency which is 433MHz.

The Euro (CE) ones are legal here. The US (FCC) ones will work, but illegally :-)

I bought the CE ones from Hong Kong (he ships whichever freq. is legal for the enduser, unless otherwise specified). My mates here with them have CE ones, so we can share if required.

And as I understand it, the Sekonic has two transmitters modules available - one FCC, one CE. Obviously, the wrong one won't work :-)
