Scrounging a Nikon 501

Postby Antsl on Wed Mar 19, 2008 11:05 am

Hi all....
I am on the scrounge for an old and preferably dead Nikon F501 camera.... one that might be hiding in a cupboard or in your garage and unlikely to see action again in the future. I will be gutting the camera and using it as a flash unit (as you do!). I missed out on one on eBay in excellent condition for $40 but I am more than happy to get a camera that is dead.
If you think you can help please PM me ....
Cheers,
Ants

Do you need a Nikon or something else will do - say a Spotmatic?

The Nikon 501 has the advantage of a reasonably deep body that can be cut and modified with ease. The bottom panel is also easily removable for changing batteries.
