wet clean tool

Postby Big Red on Wed Jul 09, 2008 6:47 pm

i bought some araldite today to do a small repair and as i was about to mix it up i noticed the mixing tool would make a perfect sensor cleaning tool ... just wrap your special cleaning media around it, moisten and clean away

the tip looks nice and level and is 15mm across.

Is that before or after you use it to mix the glue? I can just imagine the "after" effects :D :D :D :D

hehe nice one! but isnt the tip quite a bit stiffer than say.. a sensor swab?
it's not a bad substitute for those who dont want to buy the actual tool or when you're caught without one but for hamfists like me i'd have to be even more careful

Just for interest, I bought a really small (kitchen) spatula for the purpose. Cost very little, reasonably soft rubber
just needed a little trimming. You would find at one of the House type places.
