Places of Interest in Melbourne?

Postby Yi-P on Thu Jun 26, 2008 1:26 pm

Hello,

Being really busy lately and have not been on this forum for a while. I got my little break now, will be travelling to melbourne for a few days. Just wondering what are places of interest (eg. good food, bar, etc...) or a good family photo place in Melbourne? I'm staying close to the CBD, and will be travelling via public transport.

Also any good places of camera shops around the city?

Any tips would be appreciated. :D

some more links, based on an email I received earlier. Some attraction may be a bit far off like Phillip Island Penguin Parade, Gulf Station, Healesville Sanctuary or Puffing Billy.

Lygon St is so much more than just pizza and pasta. Great coffee, great food, great atmosphere. Great fun!

If you like stale Italian coffee prepared by stale Italians who have become lazy. Whilst I haven't been to them, there are numerous very good cafes in Melbourne!
