OMG....this things huge. Shit, how can I convince my parents that this is the 70-300G zoom lens that I've got.
Suppose I could say when they've seen the 70-300G before it was at 70MM focal length....lol

I don't think so! if they opened it, you won't see it today! perhaps delivery contractor want to try it with his experiences and lust, who know/ he may be is one of our forum members or lurkers, who has seen the other thread last night. You need someone to escort you home this afternoon with two boxes hanging around your arms

Easy, tell them: the lens has grown up itself due to extensive uses and after its upgraded firmware, you have to prepare your good "blue tongue" and telling "fib"

As a fellow 70-200 VR owner I know what you're in for. You'll find it hard to wipe the smile from your face. If you go use it at lunchtime your work colleagues are going to figure you did something seriously good during the break

  So keep them guessing

Kipper won't have lunch today as he mentioned, he won't bring the luch box with him, I can imagine him as the boy with a new toy beside and not bother to eat and drink all day, his boss may look over his shoulder to see what's he doing

Please don't make him to hand you a final pay cheque

Excellent quote - one of my favourite books - it's just sooo.... complex (the
Annotated Aliceby Martin Gardner is a must have read for those who haven't revisited this as an adult)

Speaking of dustbunnies, just done some cleaning. Geting close now. Down to 5. Two only noticeable with out autolevelling.
Btw, like Ive mentioned in the other thread. Clean once or twice. Put lense back on and go outside and shoot the sky. Come back in and use the shot as a reference shot while cleaning. I find it really helps to know where to apply extra attention.

Thanks Peter. It's my favorite too since my childhood. I've red it in Russian first time and later in English
