Opinions on a Cheap P&SMy daughter is looking to buy a cheap (under $150) P&S for use when she goes overseas later in the year.
Her main requirements other than decent optics is for the camera to have a rechargeble battery that are not AA. Her experience with such batteries is that they do not pack sufficient charge. She also wants a small slim design so she can dump it in the handbag or stick it in her pocket. So far I have identified the Kodak Easyshare, with this one on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Kodak-EASYSHARE- ... dZViewItem Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions, or have a P&S they want to sell? Your input would be appreciated. Thanks Craig

Re: Opinions on a Cheap P&SIve always been a fan on Canon camera and find their P&S range quite good and popular. Their more expensive P&S cameras now come with IS which would be handy but prob a little over the $150 budget. Alot of travellers are also selecting the sony P&S too mainly i believe for its small size and its 3 inch rear screen.

Re: Opinions on a Cheap P&SCraig, an opinion for what it's worth is that the Kodak has a 37mm wide end, if the trip is sightseeing or holidays she may prefer wider. I found when previously searching for a P&S for the same use, that many aren't as wide as might be useful for a holiday camera.

Re: Opinions on a Cheap P&SIs that the waterproof one? The fact you can take a camera under water, drop it in the sand, and take it to the snow is great.

Re: Opinions on a Cheap P&S
I can do that with my D300. I just wouldn't expect it to work too well afterwards. g.
